Faurecia North America recently completed its 2011 corporate-giving challenge, FUELS (Faurecia Unites with Employees for Local Service). During the month of September, Faurecia employees from the Group’s 39 locations in North America collected over 300,000 pounds of non-perishable food items!
307,000 pounds: the total weight of non-perishable food items collected by Faurecia employees in North America (USA, Canada and Mexico) as part of this year’s FUELS campaign. Over the course of just month, employees at the Group’s 39 North American plants collected the equivalent of 298,000 meals.
FUELS is a regional initiative that encourages Faurecia employees in North America to become active participants in driving social change in the neighborhoods where the Group’s plants operate. It’s a great opportunity to foster good citizenship and emphasize the genuine team spirit at Faurecia while helping improve living conditions for members of the local community. Employees can get involved by collecting donations or by volunteering at the food bank to sort, package, or distribute the items to those in need.
"We are extremely proud of the successful FUELS program over the past two years," said Mike Heneka, president of Faurecia North America. "Once again, our employees went above and beyond to benefit their local food banks and the people that live in their neighborhoods and communities. It is great to see the impact we can have when we unite for a common cause."
