The deal makes Faurecia Emissions Control Technologies the world's leading provider of emissions control solutions in what is a fast-growing market that will be pivotal to the future of the automotive industry.
Announced in early November 2009, the acquisition by Faurecia of US company EMCON Technologies is now turning into a reality. Faurecia Emissions Control Technologies (FECT), the new entity resulting from the combination of Faurecia Exhaust Systems and EMCON Technologies, becomes the world’s leading provider of emissions control technologies. FECT employs some 13,000 people in 23 countries and posts 2009 total sales of 3.4 billion euros.
