Flag raised at new Faurecia Automotive Exteriors plant in Belvidere

The new Faurecia Automotive Exteriors plant in Belvidere, USA, is officially open for business. More than a simple flag-raising ceremony, the opening event provided Faurecia with the opportunity to reaffirm its strong ties with Chrysler and its commitment to the local community.

On June 7, employees, customers and local figures gathered to raise the Faurecia flag at Belvidere. During the event, Belvidere Mayor Frederic Brereton officially welcomed Faurecia to the community, and presented a commemorative coin from the city to FAE North America President Pat Szaroletta.

At the plant, the Group produces the front-end modules for the next-generation Dodge Dart, and Chrysler representatives also attended the event, giving Faurecia the chance to celebrate its partnership with the US automaker.

Faurecia’s attention to detail, cross-functional team approach to engineering and implementation, and responsiveness to a demanding timetable for launch have been important factors enabling a highly productive collaboration with Chrysler in Belvidere,” said Pat Szaroletta. “We view the flag-raising ceremony as a celebration of this partnership and a rededication of our commitment to our customer, and to the Belvidere community.”
