Our modular approach to the front end makes Faurecia a forerunner in the European market.

Our three R&D focuses are pedestrian safety and energy absorption, performance and components, and appearance and perceived quality.

We take a modular approach to the front end. However, each component is also designed and produced to be delivered separately to automakers.

The front-end carrier, designed in a composite material, serves to reinforce the front end. The various components of the front end can be integrated into this part: fascia and engine cooling fan system, etc. The front end has several important functions that affect the vehicle: aeraulic performance, control of fit and finish, protection of pedestrians and the vehicle.

Faurecia produces fascias and complete bumper systems equipped with components such as bumper beams, fog lamps, and parking-assistance sensors.

Research is conducted on engine cooling fan systems in terms of aerodynamic efficiency and vibrations, especially in order to

reduce engine dimensions,
minimize the system’s sound level,
improve aeraulic performance.
