Faurecia’s expertise in automotive seating puts us among the top three automobile seat manufacturers in the world.

We have developed seat structures with highly flexible architecture. This makes it possible to adapt one structure to different automakers. Each one saves time on structure development and component production.

Each year, Faurecia produces some

22 million seat frames,
more than 53 million recliners,
41 million tracks,
9 million height adjustment systems,
11 million foam pads,
6 head-restrainers.

We develop seat frames capable of absorbing violent shocks. We have developed an active anti-submarining device that prevents the driver from slipping under his seatbelt in the event of a crash.

Right from the start of the design stage, we incorporate the automaker’s objectives in terms of cost and weight as well as all regulatory constraints concerning safety and the environment.

Seat comfort has direct implications for vehicle safety. We therefore developed the ventilated seat. This recent innovation ensures optimum temperature control for the occupant in winter and summer, even under extreme conditions. This system also benefits from the lack of parasite noise and vibration.
