Faurecia Automotive Seating is a leader in the design, development and manufacture of automotive seating.
The Group produces the full line of components that go into automotive seating:
It also assembles complete seats—both front and rear—for just-in-time delivery to its customers’ plants. Drawing on technological savvy that has won recognition from premium automakers, Faurecia works alongside its customers to develop solutions that focus on safety, modularity, comfort and perceived quality.
Faurecia never stops innovating to make its seats:
- lighter, including hybrid metal/composite solutions for seat structures;
- more competitive thanks to its use of generic mechanisms and/or structures that can be implemented in multiple vehicle models or segments;
- more functional and comfortable, with new features (heating and massage functions, built-in screens for rear passengers) and greater use of mechatronics to ensure that—among other advantages—seat adjustments can be customized to each user’s needs and body type.
The front seat frame platforms developed and produced for Nissan, General Motors, Volkswagen and PSA are being deployed worldwide. This new generation of generic seat frames can now be found in more than 50 different vehicle models—further evidence of Faurecia’s leadership in the market for automotive seating.
Faurecia leverages advanced functions, in particular innovations in on-board electronics, to create added value. The Oasis and Urban Rhythm concept seats developed at Faurecia provide a glimpse of the ultra-premium seats of the future, in which technology is marshaled on behalf of optimal personal comfort.
