Faurecia North America supports local communities
The fourth Faurecia Unites with Employees for Local Service (FUELS) initiative once again set a new record. This year, some 20,000 Faurecia employees in the USA, Canada and Mexico donated the equivalent of more than 1 million meals to local food banks.
Throughout September, employees used their own free time to come up with a variety of creative ideas to help underprivileged families in their local community. A total of 285 tons of food and $150,000 were donated by 47 sites across North America. Faurecia employees also spent more than 1,300 hours volunteering with local food banks, receiving donations and distributing meals.
“We are extremely proud of how the FUELS program has grown over the past four years. Faurecia employees have made a real effort to make a meaningful impact in the local communities outside our office and plant doors,” said Michael Heneka, President of Faurecia North America.
The FUELS program has provided almost 2.5 million meals since it began in 2010.
