Faurecia opens a new state-of-the-art TechCenter in India dedicated to emissions control technologies
This new R&D Center adds to the three existing FECT plants in Pune, Chennai and Bangalore dedicated to the production of the hot parts and cold parts of exhaust systems, and makes it Faurecia’s fourth site in India. The opening of this TechCenter also strengthens Faurecia's ability to offer its customers cleaner automobile solutions, a major axis of innovation for the Group.
The Group's presence in India dates back to 1995. Faurecia currently has two TechCenters - in Pune (for Interior Systems, Automotive Seating and Automotive Exteriors) and Bangalore (Emissions Control Technologies) - along with eight production sites in the major Indian automobile manufacturing regions. Faurecia has more than two thousand employees and works for Ford, Hyundai, Mahindra, Maruti-Suzuki, Tata, Toyota and Volkswagen, among others. With its partner Cummins, the Group also has a presence in the commercial vehicles sector, with the goal of increasing its share of emissions control systems in the truck market.
