The most impressive thing about the new smart ForTwo—which goes on sale in Europe in November—is measured in terms of innovation, not inches: the compact city car's greatest assets are its outstanding agility, amazingly tight turning circle and increased comfort, plus a wide range of clever features. Not to mention the fact that all engine versions keep CO2 emissions below 100 g/km.

It is also 85 kg lighter than its predecessor and is available for the first time with a rechargeable hybrid drive system.
