Seat Faurecia designed and manufactures seats for both the utility and compact minivan versions of the new Citroën Berlingo and Peugeot Partner, spanning an extremely broad spectrum of set-ups and targets. In line with PSA Peugeot Citroën’s needs in marketing the family-car set-up—a world away from the utility vehicle—the seating systems provide the kind of premium-end perceived quality you might expect with a minivan. The driver’s seat offers adjustable height settings and comes with a built-in central armrest to create a more comfortable driving position. The second row can comprise either three separate seats, each the same size, or a single seat that can be folded down in 2/3-1/3 format. The backs of the three separate seats are individually adjustable; with the central seat folding flat to make a table, armrest and cup-holder (provided the backs of the front seats are equipped with foldaway trays). Both the single seat and the three individual seats can easily be folded flat or removed to free space to carry loads up to two meters in length. The back of the front passenger seat can also be folded down, making it possible to carry particularly bulky objects. The utility version is designed for tradespeople, providing outstanding modularity with a real range of options for users. The cab comes in two versions: a standard two-seater and a three-seater Extenso® version. The passenger seat in the two-seater cab can be folded down to create a worktop and two cup holders. No changes have been made to the separate driver’s seat in the three-seater cab. The back of the center seat can be folded down into a table and armrest; the passenger side seat drops flat to free space for loads up to three meters in length. The sheet-metal backrest has a weight-bearing capacity of up to 50kg. The seat can also be folded up into a vertical position to carry tall loads in the cab. |
