Faurecia provides the instrument panel, center console and cross-car beam for the cockpit of both the sedan and SW versions of the Peugeot 308. The manufacturer conducted a number of tests to determine perceived quality and quality of use throughout the development process to ensure unparalleled quality perception.
The instrument panel boasts highly innovative technology. The one-piece system uses a blend of exclusive foam fill known as High Performance Instrument Panel (HPI) and Colodeco technology, which enables production of a dual-tone injected section. The instrument panel is also available in a luxurious leather-covered finish, drawing on the same technology but with greater perceived quality.
Faurecia paid special attention to the plastic surface texture, pushing molding technology to the limit to provide components with faultless perceived quality, and ensuring that they blend seamlessly with the instrument panel.
