Faurecia's R&D Department also contributes to program engineering services, at the pre-production stage. Working closely alongside the manufacturer's teams, the team helps co-develop acquired programs, guaranteeing compliance with quality, costs and time constraints.
The R&D Department plays a key role in optimizing programs by offering technologies and processes that match the customer's objectives to Faurecia's technical and manufacturing expertise.
With its network of 38 centers, Faurecia's R&D Department can support its customers in their drive to expand car platforms internationally in all automobile markets. For instance, its teams worked with General Motors in developing a new global platform for seat frames and mechanisms, which was rolled out simultaneously in Europe, North America, China and Korea. The teams also worked alongside Renault in designing vehicles in Korea.
