A joint approach with automakers to further progress
 |
Management of complex and global projects is one of Faurecia's fundamental areas of expertise. This skill is prevalent throughout the product development phase, while continually adjusting to the requirements of customers' projects. The recognized technical skills of Faurecia's teams and the quality of its business relations with automakers provide solid foundations for a long-term partnership with the ability to advance joint projects.
Global expertise in facilities and processes
Working in direct liaison with the customer's teams, Faurecia's engineers and technicians define each product in terms of functionality, style and cost. They also design the business processes and production facilities that will ensure the success of the customer's project with respect to style, perceived quality, safety and cost. Faurecia has set up an Excellence in Program Management policy to achieve its ambition for progress in this area.
Joint development and innovation
The joint development approach draws strength from Faurecia's R&D capacities. For instance, Faurecia's R&D teams worked with General Motors in developing a new global platform for seat frames and mechanisms, which was rolled out simultaneously in Europe, North America, China and Korea, and also worked with Renault in designing vehicles in Korea.
Joint development is closely related to the trust forged every day between the automaker and the supplier.
