Involvement : a cornerstone of operational excellence



One of the fundamental levers of Faurecia’s industrial performance, Employee Empowerment forms the basis of the Faurecia Excellence System (FES). Its purpose is to develop the role of management and the skills of the Group’s personnel. To identify and resolve problems quickly and as close as possible to the place where they occur, the company has opted to increase job flexibility and promote the concept of multiskilled operators. Similarly, the use of tried and tested working methods such as QRQC (Quick Response Quality Control) strengthens the bond between workers thus helping to make them more efficient. Operational communication has also been developed. This is accompanied by extensive employee involvement as part of a continuous improvement initiative. Each team is responsible for defining its own performance indicators, measuring them and improving them. More generally, career development is considered a fundamental driving force behind the production system. For all these reasons, Faurecia promotes the development of its personnel by helping to increase their employability.
