A global industrial footprint
With 190 production sites in 28 countries, Faurecia is active on five continents. Our industrial strategy articulates around two capabilities. We can aid and support the big automakers in their international strategies, particularly in high-growth emerging markets. We can continuously optimize performance in terms of cost and quality by adapting our sites to fit requirements.
Flexibility at the service of automakers
Faurecia can adapt worldwide production facilities to fit the needs and expectations of automakers. Two thirds of our facilities consist of component-production sites that are situated to optimize production and logistics costs. The other third are just-in-time sites that can respond in less than three hours to customer production-line requirements. Just-in-time facilities are situated at less than 30 kilometers from customer assembly lines, or even, in some cases, are housed at customer sites.
Shared processes to improve operational efficiency
To ensure that Faurecia can meet customer requirements at the same level of quality any place in the world, we use an approach to industrial efficiency known as the Faurecia Excellence System or “FES”. Through 114 shared Faurecia Core Procedures, we ensure common ways of work at all our facilities across the globe. FES, a unique methodology and well appreciated by our customers and partners, enables continuous progress towards best industrial and management practices. FES drives our processes for the continuous improvement of workplace safety, quality, delivery and production efficiency as well as for organizational standards and development of our people. |
