At a time when the automotive industry is becoming globalized, the key to Faurecia’s international development lies in its savoir-faire and experience, the key advantages necessary for its international development. Its contribution to the success of innovative new vehicles bears witness to this. From small city cars to MPVs, from SUVs to luxury saloons, from production runs of a few thousand to mass-production lines, Faurecia demonstrates on a daily basis its capacity to meet the needs of a market where there is an ever-increasing number of models due to pressure from consumers wanting customization. This must be achieved without ever neglecting the imperatives of comfort, design, perceived quality, safety and the environment.

Consumers have come to consider their vehicle interior an extension of their living space and it needs to be multi-purpose to adapt to the various events of daily life. At Faurecia, innovation is not simply necessary; it is part of the Group’s culture. Innovation projects selected for development by Faurecia consider all aspects of a vehicle. With 4,000 engineers working out of 28 development centers worldwide, Research and Development has an annual budget that is roughly equivalent to 5% of Group sales.
