Well-being
and modularity
Vehicle interiors today must be able to adapt
to the multitude of possible uses for the vehicle. To meet this challenge,
Faurecia provides automakers with its savoir-faire in terms of vehicle
interior modularity to help them produce the kind of vehicles consumers
want without having to compromise on design,
safety
or comfort.
In-car well-being is becoming an increasingly
decisive factor. And with good reason: since longer journey times and
a more mobile society are increasing the amount of time both drivers and
passengers spend in their vehicles. The vehicle interior is thus being
transformed into a genuine living space; it must be multifunctional and
able to adapt easily and freely to these different moments in everyday
life.
As an automotive
seating and vehicle interior architect, Faurecia is constantly developing
modular
solutions that allow automakers to offer consumers vehicles that cater
for an increasingly varied set of requirements. Today, these solutions
are found in all segments of the market, from top-of-the-range vehicles
such as the Audi
Q7 and station wagons like the Opel Signum, through to MPVs like the
Renault Scénic and Ford Galaxy right down to smaller city cars such as
the Toyota
Yaris.
Modularity
is also about easy seat
adjustments, ease of access to the rear seat rows, achieving a flat
floor and the availability of practical, functional storage features.
Faurecia’s experts also work on different
possibilities for organizing space in the vehicle interior. In particular,
this involves gloveboxes, thinking up new layouts and offering ergonomically
designed control systems.
