A Group that respects the environment
Keenly sensitive to environmental issues, Faurecia contributes to respect for the environment. Increasingly use recyclable materials, reduce vehicle weight, cut pollution and propose new solutions to limit noise pollution, without overlooking the reduction in energy consumption and the conservation of natural resources in production processes: these are the guiding principles in all the Group’s research – from the initial design phase through to end-of-life – in order to contribute to the ever increasing need for environmental protection.
We should also mention Faurecia’s fully recyclable particulate filter. Beyond this, Faurecia is currently focusing on the use of plant fibers for its door and instrument panels and acoustic materials. Similarly, “bioplastics” which are entirely derived from biomass such as rapeseed oil are starting to be more frequently used.
The Group joined the European ECODIS program under which it seeks to improve the environmental sustainability of all products designed, developed and produced by Faurecia.
