The front door panels of the Volvo C70 include
a front passenger protection system that is activated in the event of
a severe side impact or rollover. The system deploys a door-mounted inflatable
curtain that helps protect the heads of the front seat occupants. By remaining
inflated for several seconds, the curtain offers protection throughout
an extended collision.
