Strategic technology partnerships
To best respond to constant evolution across the automotive and mobility world, Faurecia has developed partnerships with key players in different industrial and technology sectors.
Improving safety & comfort onboard
Partnerships signed in 2017 with ZF and Mahle have contributed to the company’s ongoing design and development of the Cockpit of the Future.
Faurecia and ZF have collaborated on an Advanced Versatile Structure (AVS) for seats so that occupants can drive, relax and work safely and efficiently while on board. To ensure personalized climate comfort for each individual on board, Faurecia and Mahle are working together to develop smart cabin thermal management solutions.
Developing digital services
A major partnership with Accenture for the development of digital services aims to bring together the two groups’ innovation expertise to create products and services for connected and autonomous vehicles. Faurecia and Accenture’s partnership focuses on two areas: cognitive and HMI technologies to reinvent the onboard experience, and services dedicated to improving the health and wellness of drivers and passengers through data collection and management. Faurecia and Accenture are also leveraging digital technologies such as artificial intelligence, analytics, virtual and augmented reality, blockchain and quantum computing to further accelerate Faurecia’s digital transformation.
Personnalizing the on-board experience
Faurecia and Hella jointly develop lighting with high-technology content in the domain of surface-lighting and dynamic-lighting for a more personalized cockpit environment. Faurecia contributes its expertise as a complete system integrator for vehicle interiors and HELLA supplies innovative products in the field of interior lighting.
