Evolution in Faurecia’s Executive Committee
Olivier Durand appointed Faurecia Clarion Electronics Executive Vice-President
Faurecia, one of the world’s leading automotive technology companies, announced today the appointment of Jean-Paul Michel as Faurecia Interiors Executive Vice-President. Previously Executive Vice President of Faurecia Clarion Electronics, Jean-Paul Michel succeeds Patrick Popp whom the Group thanks for his contributions. Olivier Durand, who was previously the Group Deputy Chief Financial Officer, is appointed Faurecia Clarion Electronics Executive Vice President.
Jean-Paul Michel began his career in 1986 at Michelin as a financial analyst. In 1989, he joined Renault. From 1991 to 2002, he worked for Valeo as Chief Financial Officer for different business units in Europe and North America. From 2002 to 2014, Jean-Paul Michel held different finance functions at OSRAM, becoming Chief Operating Officer for the consumer lighting business in 2014.
Prior to joining Faurecia in 2018 as Finance Vice-President for the Interiors activity and then EVP for the Clarion Electronics activity, he was Executive Vice-President in charge of Operations, Finance and Strategy at Lanzatech (2015-2017).
Jean-Paul Michel holds a diploma in Business administration at the Sup de Co Reims (NEOMA, France).
Olivier Durand began his career at the Adecco Group in 1993 as regional controller, based in Singapore. After moving to Beijing, he joined Schneider Electric as a financial analyst from 1994 to 1997. He then worked for Alcatel, first as a financial analyst from 1997 to 2000, and later as Business Group Controller for their wireless activities from 2000 to 2004. That same year Olivier Durand became the China Chief Financial Officer for Alcatel-Lucent, based in Shanghai, a position he held until 2008. Upon returning to France in 2008 he held the Group Controller position at Alcatel-Lucent before becoming its Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer in 2016.
Olivier Durand joined Faurecia in 2017 and has been the Group’s Deputy Chief Financial Officer since.
He holds a master’s degree in financial control and finance from HEC Paris.
Having worked closely with Olivier Durand for many years I would like to welcome him to Faurecia’s Executive Committee.
