Faurecia and Horizon Robotics partner to bring AI based cockpit solution for automotive applications in China

During the CES Las Vegas 2020, Faurecia, one of the world’s leading automotive technology companies signed a cooperation framework agreement with Beijing Horizon Robotics, a pioneer in edge computing and Artificial Intelligence. This strategic partnership focuses on co-developing multi-modal perception Al solutions, and accelerating the commercialization of intelligent cockpit systems and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) for the Chinese market.

In recent years, Faurecia has accelerated its transformation to become a global leader in the Cockpit of the Future. Through its fourth Business Group, Faurecia Clarion Electronics, which combines the complementary technologies of Clarion, Parrot Automotive and Coagent Electronics, the Group has also become a key player in ADAS. This latest partnership will fully leverage the advantages of both parties in technology, supply chain, manufacturing, and customer relationships to enhance the development of Artificial Intelligence for personalized Cockpit experiences and ADAS.

Horizon Robotics is one of the leaders in deep learning and computer vision algorithms, co-designed with an advanced Edge AI processor architecture. The company has successfully launched the Horizon Journey™ 2 SoC in 2019, China’s first automotive-grade deep learning optimized AI processor to enable autonomous driving and intelligent cockpit experiences. Horizon Robotics bring its technological expertise to the partnership with high-performance, low-power and cost-effective software and hardware solutions, to power future autonomous driving systems and create a safer and more enjoyable driving experience.
