Faurecia signs the Women’s Empowerment Principles to foster gender equality and women's empowerment in the workplace
The Women’s Empowerment Principles are a joint initiative from the UN Global Compact and UN Women. It is comprised of 7 principles that businesses can follow to empower women.
1 - Establish high-level corporate leadership for gender equality.
2 - Treat all women and men fairly at work – respect and support human rights and non-discrimination.
3 - Ensure the health, safety and well-being of all women and men workers.
4 - Promote education, training and professional development for women.
5 - Implement enterprise development, supply chain and marketing practices that empower women.
6 - Promote equality through community initiatives and advocacy.
7 - Measure and publicly report on progress to achieve gender equality.
Diversity of nationalities and backgrounds is already part of Faurecia’s identity. To boost progress on the gender diversity front, the Group launched a specific action plan in 2019, with an ambition to increase female representation in the Managers & Professionals population. To this end, various initiatives started in 2019 and 2020 focus on improving attractiveness, learning and career development opportunities for our female talents, including female leadership training, coaching & mentoring programs, a ‘Women in technology’ initiative to reach universities and females engineers, and the launch of a Diversity Champion network of 40 ambassadors worldwide.
