Faurecia inaugurates new industrial site Russia for its Seating activity
The city will thus be home to both its largest site in Russia and its regional headquarters, building on the Group’s six sites across the country and energizing its momentum for this dynamic market.
This new scalable and modulable site will enable the Group to expand its industrial capacity and cover all elements of complete seat systems, including covers, foams, and metal welding. It will also be equipped with the latest technologies for CO2 emissions reduction, in line with the Group’s CO2 neutrality objectives for controlled emissions by 2025.
This new plant in Togliatti will become the anchor of our industrial presence in Russia, both in terms of its production capacity and its state-of-the-art technologies for CO2 emissions reduction. With the confidence of our customers and employees and the support of local and regional authorities Faurecia will play a key role in Russia’s growing automotive market.
Local and regional authorities, keen to boost the investment climate in Russia’s automotive production hub, have lent their support to the construction of the site in the city’s Special Economic Zone. Present at the inauguration were Viktor Kudryashov, Vice-Governor and Chairman of the Samara regional government, and representatives from OEMs. Currently employing nearly 600 people, Faurecia aims to employ close to 1.000 people at its new Togliatti site in the coming years in order to accompany its business development.
