Faurecia named 2022 Automotive News PACE Award Finalist
Faurecia, a company of Group FORVIA, is pleased to share that it has been named a finalist for both the 2022 Automotive News PACE Award and the PACE Pilot award for its PRE PO 3 and Immersive Display innovations respectively.
The PRE PO 3 is a standardized approach to the leather wrapping process that reduces process time and improves quality consistency, industrializing one of the last craftsmanship operations in high volume in automotive manufacturing. Allowing functional and single decorative seams to be positioned independent of the carrier, PRE PO 3 can be applied to instrument panels, door panels, and center consoles.
The Immersive Display solution combines advanced surface lighting with proprietary low-resolution LED matrix technology, and different types of embedded sensors and actuators. This configuration enables the black border typically seen on large HMI systems to be removed, promoting full immersion through perfect optical continuity across the surface.
We are honored to have two technologies recognized as finalists for the PACE and PACE Pilot Awards by Automotive News. These technologies showcase Faurecia’s vision for advanced and customized mobility, and help automakers address critical needs in personalization, comfort, and sustainable and versatile materials.
The PACE Awards, now in their 28th year, are given to suppliers in recognition of a technological innovation in a product or process that has reached the commercial market. The PACE Pilot award recognizes pre- commercial, post-pilot innovations in the automotive or future mobility space, including products, processes, software and IT systems.
The PACE and PACE Pilot award winners will be announced in September 2022.
