Faurecia to open its first Clean Mobility manufacturing plant in Japan
This new facility will be built on a 9,000 square meter industrial site owned by Faurecia Clarion Electronics. Faurecia will employ 50 people to start its operations in August 2020 and will produce exhaust systems for passenger cars and commercial vehicles.
This plant is key for Faurecia as it represents the first Clean Mobility plant in Japan. It will enable us to further develop our business with Japanese customers. I am very pleased that we were able to create synergies with Faurecia Clarion Electronics.
In 2017, Faurecia opened an R&D center and headquarters in Yokohama, for its Seating, Interiors and Clean Mobility businesses. The Group recently acquired Clarion and created its fourth Business Group, Faurecia Clarion Electronics, based in Saitama.
